AN EXHIBITION of what is some of Shetland’s more striking artwork is taking place in Lerwick over the coming month.

His paintings which often takes inspiration from folklore and mythology, is well known as particularly eye-catching, given the style and subject matter.
People will also get the chance to buy some of Robertson’s pieces.
“What you’ll be able to see at The Bop Shop this winter is a showcase of my past decade of painting,” he said.
“This includes explorations of folklore, fantasy, dark art and music paintings.
“I’m delighted to partner up with the Bop Shop crew and help turn their space into a fully fledged, all singing all dancing art exhibition space using my art as a test run.
“They have had great craft exhibitions in the past from makers including Letty Bishop and Eve Eunson.
“And now moving into the future they will be able to showcase fine arts utilising the newly installed hanging and lighting systems.”
The Bop Shop’s pop-up record store will also be open during the exhibition days.
After today’s launch, the exhibition will be open between 10am and 4pm on 25 November and 2 December, which are both Saturdays.
On Thursday 7 and 21 December it will be open 4pm to 9pm, with the final day landing on Saturday 23 December, from 10am to 4pm.
