Coronavirus / Shetland records a further three Covid cases
A FURTHER three cases of Covid-19 were added to Shetland’s tally over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 192.
NHS Shetland previously said that further cases are to be expected as a result of the Christmas outbreak in the North Mainland.
The temporary Covid-19 testing centre at Gilbertson Park, in Lerwick, continues to be operational until next Thursday.
Samples are being analysed by the government laboratory in Glasgow and can take a few days to return.

Meanwhile, vaccination of people aged over 80 has got under way at the Hillswick GP surgery after a delivery of the AstraZeneca vaccine had been received on Saturday, according to GP Susan Bowie.
Across Scotland the total number of new confirmed cases was 1,341, slightly lower than in previous days, though this is likely due to this being the weekend. There were no new deaths recorded.
