Nature / Lunar eclipse just visible
CLOUD cover made it difficult for local stargazers to enjoy the lunar eclipse which was visible in America and parts of Western Europe overnight from Sunday to Monday.
The so-called super blood wolf moon occurs when some sunlight is refracted by the Earth’s atmosphere and reaches the moon while moving into the Earth’s shadow.
Chris Brown from Trondra said maximum eclipse was unfortunately clouded out, but he sent this photo of the red glowing moon taken shortly before total eclipse.
