WITH the lambing season in full swing, the local police force is reminding dog owners to ensure their pets are kept under control when walking near to livestock areas to avoid incidents of sheep worrying.

A police spokesman said: “Lambing is important to the rural economy of Shetland and we will be working with our communities to enable farmers to lamb successfully and responsible dog owners to exercise their dogs respectfully.”

She has worked for a number of years as a dance practitioner.

“I am really delighted to move back home to Shetland, especially to work in a job that has so much creative potential,” Spence said.

“I am excited to celebrate the arts here in Shetland and to look at how we can expand the opportunities on offer, in both participation and artist development and support.”

Shetland Arts is looking to recruit freelance practitioners to be on its preferred suppliers list, to “share opportunities, work together and collaborate”.

It uses freelance arts practitioners for many of its engagement projects including arts in care, wellbeing arts, creativity labs, creativity clubs and summer activity.
