Emergency services / Man taken to hospital following two vehicle crash
A MAN was taken to hospital by ambulance after a two vehicle road accident involving a car and a van on the A970 north of Girlsta at lunchtime.
Fire fighters had to free the man from his vehicle before he could be taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.30pm. Two fire appliances, police and ambulance all attended.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the road traffic collision and are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a blue 4×4 type vehicle who may have witnessed it.
The road was fully reopened two hours after the accident at 3.35pm.
