News / Debate to focus on cruise ships
The Althing will return in mid-February.
THE MOTION ‘cruise ships are more trouble than they’re worth’ will be the subject of the next Althing debate.
The event will be held at the Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick on 15 February, with entry priced at £2.
Speakers are yet to be confirmed, and Althing organisers are keen to find another person to speak ‘for’ the motion.
Shetland is set for another record-breaking cruise ship season this year, with around 115 vessels already expected to stop off in the isles.
