Transport / SIC staff to monitor Lerwick road after paint spill
LERWICK’s North Road has had a bit of a makeover after what appeared to be a spill of white paint.
The above photo was taken on Saturday afternoon, showing the white paint being spread further into town and into the Bolts car park.
A spokesperson for Shetland Islands Council said staff attended on Saturday morning and laid sand on the road surface in the worst affected area.
“No further action is planned at the moment but we’ll continue to monitor this in the coming days,” they said.
