BBC Filming / Crime drama scenes to be filmed at Eshaness
THE TEAM filming the latest instalments of the Shetland crime drama series is advising of possible traffic delays on the B9078 Eshaness road throughout Sunday (13 June).
ITV Shetland is filming scenes at the old schoolhouse and on the minor road leading down to the Eshaness pier between 7am and 8pm.
The production team’s main unit will be based at the Braewick Café, which will be closed for the day, while technical support vehicles will be operational and parked throughout the area.
At intermittent times a ‘stop/go’ traffic management system will be in operation in the area shown on the map below.
Shetland location manager Davie Gardner said: “These ‘holds’ will only take place for a few minutes at a time (maximum of 10 minutes – but more often for only 2-3 minutes) while actual filming takes place and to ensure the safety of our crew and other road users.
“As such please be aware of these and associated increased traffic, particularly during the above hours and the possibility of vehicles emerging from side roads in the area and drive with due caution.
“Apologies for any inconvenience and / or disruption this may cause and thanks in advance for your co-operation with this.”
Anyone with further questions or comment is asked to contact either location manager Mike Pannikou on 07751 575 770 or Davie Gardner on 07867 654 509.
